We offer professionally guided Fair Chase hunts on 60,000 private acres of elk hunting heaven on the famed Galt Ranch near Lingshire, Montana. This private ranch, where you will have the privilege of hunting, has been set aside, in the past, strictly for the landowner and his closest friends. It is located in the Big Belt Mountains of Central Montana and is noted for some of the most amazing native Rocky Mountain elk hunting in the state of Montana. The lodge, Walker Camp, is located 45 minutes north-west of White Sulphur Springs and lies along the Rock Creek drainage and the beautiful Smith River known for its world class fly fishing. So if you decide to take a break from hunting mid-day to fly fish for trophy trout, we will completely understand.
Hammer ’Em Outfitters offers both early season archery and fall big game rifle hunts. Each hunt is customized for our guests, such as you, by hunters who are licensed professional guides. Our professional guides are carefully handpicked based on their experience, knowledge, and respect for big game hunting. A bonus to you – they each have wonderful personalities! We abide by the strict requirements of our staff, as well, resulting in the utmost satisfaction and unique big game Fair Chase hunting experience for each our guests.
Hammer ’Em Outfitters early season archery hunts are fully guided by a professional guide one on one in order to maximize your opportunity for success. Our rifle hunts are also fully guided and sold on a one guide per two hunters. We have tailored our hunts to be flexible and achievable for all ages and individual ability, whether your preference is stocking, covering ground or sitting in blinds. We access the ranch via new side-by-side Polaris Rangers with heated enclosed cabs for your comfort and with the capability to get you to the terrain where the elk are located.

Speaking of comfortable, we have just built a new beautifully appointed ranch style hunting lodge at Walker Camp that has all the comforts of home. Since we only take 8 hunters per week Hammer ‘Em Outfitters can guarantee you your own private guest room for your stay. The new hunting lodge has internet, sat phone, nine guest bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchen and dining room, as well as a robust common area with a fireplace. At the end of the day, you can kick back, relax, and enjoy the scenery out the large picture windows while sharing success stories of your daily hunting adventures. After indulging in a wonderful home cooked meal, let the double glass doors lead you out onto an outdoor deck that overlooks some of the most beautiful Big Sky Country of Montana. Unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures of life and the gorgeous view of the Smith River Valley while enjoying your favorite evening cheer.

We also want you to be aware that there is a fly fishing opportunity when you stay with us as well! The famed Rock Creek runs right by our hunting lodge, Walker Camp. The fishing outfitter that has leased Rock Creek has granted us a LIMITED opportunity to enjoy the blue-ribbon trout stream. This world-class stream is fly fishing ONLY and ALL fish are catch and release, no exceptions.
